Steal Ideas Like An Artist

How To Make A Title For Your Video

“Steal ideas like an artist”

This is a really famous saying, and it actually has a lot of meaning behind it.

Just think about it for a second, “would you try and full copy a person doing something (e.g. copying his YouTube intro), or try to copy him but in a way that isn’t directly copying”

I think the first option is so much better, and I know that the majority of people will disagree with me here, but let me explain this to you.

I’ll give an example of Hamza for this. Think of his iconic Jeffrey & Adonis intro. If you are a YouTuber that is not growing, or getting the views they’d like, the advice I would give to them is to copy other people in your niche that are doing well. Straight up, copy them. Don’t make any tweaks. Let’s go back to the Hamza example. You would rather copy the Jeffrey and Adonis opening for your video, then make some bullshit up such as 'Bill and Jack’. The second one is so much worse.

If you are in the self-improvement space, and you start off your video with Jeffrey and Adonis, you will instantly get so much more views, simply because it worked for Hamza for a LONG period of time.

Yes, people will call you out. But WHO cares. If they call you out, they will want to watch the whole video, that means you get more views.

The same concept applies with YouTube titles. Instead of making your own YouTube titles for your video. Just straight out copy them from other YouTubers, from their videos that have gone viral, and then copy-paste them as your own. They don’t own the title, so you can copy it. Trust me, when you copy it word-by-word, you will get better results, more views, higher retention.

I thing to keep in mind is to not steal exactly word for word what you say in the video. I want you to copy the title of the viral video, but don’t watch the video, you make the content of your video by yourself, so it’s got your own twist to it.

Action Step: If you are a YouTuber or content creator. Create a google doc or notion document where you just go and list down 50-100 video title ideas for future videos, and store them there. Make sure to not watch the video. Every single day, pick 1 title from your document, and script it. Either on the next day, or on the same day record the video, and upload using that copy-paste title.
